CLOCK
To support the “Portland is Happening Now” campaign we built the largest freestanding cuckoo clock in North America and put it in other cities to invite people to travel down and experience the wonder of Portland for themselves.
Weird Portland stuff came out of the clock every hour. Beer, artisan jewlerymakers, an electronic music trio, a master tea maker, a Sasquatch for the kiddos, a troop of naked bike riders. Just the basic stuff we locals already love about Portland.

After the months of design and construction the clock, at 25’ tall and weighing many tons traveled to Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC where it chimed every hour to reveal Portland stuff. Special products were created by local artisans to highlight the tax free shopping available in Portland, and we even worked with a local brewer to create a campaign themed microbrew. Afterwards it lived for nearly two years at the Portland international airport, where it became a beloved local landmark enjoyed and instagrammed by hundreds of thousands of travelers.
In addition the campaign was supported with colorful print, OOH and painted walls that showed a collage of everything that was happening in Portland at any given moment in time.
