ZINES
To convince people to come to Portland we gave them the ultimate Portland Guidebook made by Portland for those who want to visit Portland. A collection of zine guides that reflect the DIY nature of the city and are as stylistically diverse and delightfully strange as the city itself. Local writers, artists, brewers, chefs, makers, and cultural icons helped us to create this series and share the genius of Portland with the world.

To put the zines out into the world we bought OOH, bus shelters and painted walls in nearby large cities, and stocked custom newspaper boxes with the zines for potential visitors to peruse.
We also worked with an incredible team of artists at CRCR to create a series of television spots that brought the aesthetic of the zines to life in animation. These ran via targeted buys in the PNW and British Columbia and may be some of the craziest local tourism ads ever made.
